The Valley of the Temples at a glance

The Valley of the Temples (Valle dei Templi) is the archaeological park of Agrigento, on Sicily's south coast. It is a long ridge with Greek temples, the best known of them the Temple of Concordia, and it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The park is run by the Region of Sicily; tickets are sold through the operator's online shop.

The modern city of Agrigento sits on the hill above. You can see the temples in half a day. Add the Kolymbethra garden, the archaeological museum or the Scala dei Turchi, and the visit fills a full day.
